Summary
The new 911 Turbo combines extensive technological innovation with fine-tuning of design. The powertrain of the new 911 Turbo offers a significant improvement in energy efficiency and a further increase in attractiveness thanks to intelligent performance. As a high-performance sportscar, it is both much more economical and lightweight as well as more powerful, more dynamic and faster than its predecessor. At its heart is the new 3.8-litre engine developing 500 hp (368 kW), which represents the culmination of 35 years of experience in Turbo models. In addition to the familiar variable valve drive, the completely redesigned engine also features direct fuel injection and a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry. A new level of efficiency, agility, responsiveness and performance is offered in combination with the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK). This drive package enables the 911 Turbo to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds (predecessor: 3.7 seconds) while also reducing CO2 emissions by up to 18%.
