Summary
Fully automatic vehicle comfort systems are a challenge especially considering flexible cabin layouts and the very individual comfort perception of the passengers. The study presents a modular control concept considering the combination of a physical cabin model with a multi-zone self-adapting comfort perception model for the passengers. The base concept is implemented and tested in a modified driving simulator. Jury tests are conducted. The results show promising potentials for the planned application in a driving demonstrator.
