Summary
Even the current CO2 regulation for passenger cars, with targets for 2020, 2025 and 2030, is already generating a high pressure for innovation on vehicle manufacturers and the downstream supply chains. Now there are also signs of a general change from the isolated consideration of tailpipe emissions to a holistic life cycle assessment of emissions (LCA), which was initiated by social developments but is now also being driven forward in industry and legislation. In principle, this development offers great opportunities for suppliers.
