Summary

A significant reduction of CO2 emissions can be achieved for future powertrains, equipped with gasoline engines by different technologies. On the one hand variability in engine and transmission offers the potential to reduce CO2 emissions. On the other hand a significant improvement can be achieved by hybridization.
