Summary
The fuel cell drive is increasingly gaining importance and attention as a zero-carbon option for the transportation of passengers and, above all, freight. For long-distance hauling in particular, fuel cell drives have advantages in terms of cruising range and fueling speed. Systems must be designed and developed that meet the high durability requirements of a long-distance-hauling truck. All components and units must have sufficient service life, based on the load spectrum of actual operation. MAHLE has developed an overall concept to ensure high-performance cathode air conditioning, optimized for cost and weight, with appropriate process capability.
