Zusammenfassung

Scientific studies summary is that the rapidly increasing CO2 content in the atmosphere leads to a global warming effect paired with unpredictable environmental and human consequences [1]. Approximately 32 % of Chinas CO2 transportation emissions are based on Heavy Duty Truck (HDT) transportation – as China commits the Paris Agreement – Commercial Vehicle (CV) CO2 emissions are peaking by 2030 and must reach in use CO2 neutrality by 2050 and from 2060 on the complete product life cycle must be free from carbon emissions. Actual Zero Emission Vehicle Technologies (ZEV) like battery electric & hydrogen (H2) and probably in future additional accounted CO2 free energy sources leads FAW (First Automobile Works) – the leader on Chinas CV market – to develop a technology open platform for all kind of sustainable propulsion technologies to cover globally all requests from customers, legislations and energy availability. According to FAW´s technology prediction - the present report overviews Chinese truck market and FAW´s status of development on ICE (H2 & NH3), Hybrid and Fuel cell (FC) propulsion. To cover the requests from the mobile transportation sector – all ZEV variants must take place in form of a technology symbiose – not in competition – to goal the overall target generating a CO2 free mobility path for the future [10].
