The introduction will present the contribution and importance of aerodynamics to race car performance.

After that a more deep description will be made of ground effect with a particular presentation of the key function of the car floors and diffusers. The principle of how those geometries contribute to aerodynamic efficiency will be shown and as well as what parameters affect that behaviour, above all the ride height evolution during a lap around a circuit.
