Zusammenfassung
The scenario-based testing of an Automated Driving System (ADS) has become an important element in its development and validation process. Scenarios for different subsystems and test goals are extensively developed and executed. The aim is to cover a sufficiently large and complete test space in a cost and time-efficient manner. Creating scenarios that challenge the reliability of the system logic (such as situation interpretation or motion planning) is a major task for engineers. The set of relevant scenarios is unknown, large in scale and very system specific. Furthermore, there is no uniform and complete database of scenarios that can be used to define or validate such systems and prove the reliability to authorities and customers. However, in the project PEGASUS, funded by the German Ministry for Economics and Energy, the basis for such a database has been set with a focus on German motorways.
