Zusammenfassung
Electric motors (EM) offer new possibilities for lateral and longitudinal vehicle dynamics control. Because of the fast and accurate reacting EMs, performance, efficiency and comfort of anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic stability control systems (ESC) can be increased. This work presents an ABS control algorithm, focusing on electric motors as main actuators and a hydraulic braking system as an additional support in case of non sufficient EM-torque. The electronic stability control is the second enhanced vehicle dynamics controller within this work. Besides the fast and accurate controllability of the EMs, the ESC benefits from wheel-individual torque distribution provided by four EMs. Present ESC systems are only able to decelerate one vehicle’s side for creating desired yaw acceleration. By use of EMs one vehicle’s side can be decelerated while the other side is accelerated, this results in a greater yaw moment.
