Zusammenfassung

To remain competitive, the automotive industry must address critical concerns along the zero-emission supply chain. Failure to do so could disrupt the business models of OEMs, suppliers, and upstream partners. In this white paper, we examine how decarbonization regulations and changing consumer tastes have upended the transportation industry, both consumer and commercial. In an effort to meet global emission restrictions by 2035, two leading zero-emission technologies are being compared: battery-powered vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. The critical supply chain needed to make either technology a mainstream reality is also explored, including the need for executive action and global legislation to source the necessary raw materials.
