Zusammenfassung
The electrification of powertrains is a key technology to reduce emissions, protect the environment and combat climate change. With respect to the long-term requirements of automotive mobility, DENSO has developed a new dedicated hybrid transmission with the support of FEV Europe GmbH. The system, called HYBex 3, offers full hybrid functionality including serial, purely electric and parallel driving modes with a very small number of clutches, gear pairs and shafts.
The contribution shows how the savings potential of the hybridized powertrain can be further increased by integrating predictive control concepts. For this purpose, a predictive control framework capable of providing battery state-of-charge (SoC) planning, optimized torque-split and predictive longitudinal vehicle operation control is developed. The latter method is described in detail and selected results of vehicle measurements are discussed. The developed functional architecture also offers the potential to integrate future information from vehicular communications and to implement functions such as "Green Light Optimal Speed Control".
