Zusammenfassung

The transportation sector is facing significant challenges and is in parallel transitioning from a pure Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) portfolio to more diversified propulsion systems. In addition to the pursuit for carbon-free mobility, there is also a strong emphasis for cleaner air. However, despite public incentives, the uptake of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV’s) is still limited. This is especially true in segments where a high mileage range and/or load capacity is required. So far, these requirements can’t be fully met with BEV’s. As BEV’s operate locally emission-free, the target for conventional applications must be an impact-free operation, esp. in urban hot spots...
