The integration of fuel cells in light commercial vehicles is a groundbreaking technological advancement that is shaping the landscape of sustainable mobility. As we collectively strive towards a greener and more eco-friendly future, the adoption of innovative clean energy solutions becomes imperative. The use of fuel cells presents an exceptional opportunity to revolutionize the transportation sector. In addition to the existing portfolio of battery-electric vehicles, Stellantis is accelerating the development of fuel cell propulsion systems for use in light commercial vehicles (LCV). The first application has launched on the market for customer usage at the end of 2021. Systems engineering fundamentals have been applied to identify the most suitable solution for the selected segment. The initial customer feedback supports the technical solution found which allows the customer the full capability of a light commercial vehicle with a range of 400 km and a class leading refueling time of 3 minutes.
