Zusammenfassung
With ever shorter development cycles, especially for new technologies such as fuel cells, computer aided engineering and frontloading of development steps are becoming increasingly important. These methods require a comprehensive set of experimental data for model generation and validation purposes. Hence, a close interaction of physical and virtual methods is necessary for the efficient development of fuel cell components, systems and control functions.
This paper describes the general process of fuel cell development using the close interaction of experimental and numerical methods, providing details on two examples – system design and system operation.
