Zusammenfassung

This paper shows how to investigate the robustness of the driving dynamics of vehicles equipped with the brake control system ESC. The increasing complexity of modern vehicles requires the application of sophisticated virtual investigation methods to consider the robustness of the whole vehicle variance. By applying sensitivity analyses to multiple simulation runs the influence of function, system and vehicle parameters on vehicle characteristic values can be analysed. Based on this, statements about the vehicle robustness are made and the vehicle behaviour can be adjusted specifically. In doing so, interacting chassis control systems and the whole vehicle variance are
considered and critical vehicle variants identified.
