Zusammenfassung

Against the background of climate change, vehicle manufacturers are increasingly being put under pressure by international CO₂ legislation. In addition, the social discussion about the CO₂ footprint of economic activities has continued to gain momentum.
The challenge for suppliers at all stages of the value chain is to adapt their product portfolio strategy in due time and to communicate their strengths transparently in order to become indispensable partners for OEMs. Addressing this challenge, fka has developed a comprehensive methodology toolkit that can be applied in close cooperation with the respective supplier. The core elements are the methods of quantitative market simulation to anticipate the CO₂ technology strategies of the vehicle manufacturers and the E2P approach, which enables the holistic life cycle assessment of technologies, including ecologic, economic and performance-oriented parameters.
