Zusammenfassung
The electrification of the powertrain, automation of vehicles, as well as new business models are strongly influencing the way in which vehicles are developed. For consumers, these factors can result in new types of use cases, changed usage behaviour and needs. These factors can influence the requirements of vehicles and therefore emphasize the importance of considering modern use cases in the concept development process. This paper presents a methodical procedure to derive a vehicle concept, utilizing a use-case-based example. Focusing on the powertrain, use-case-oriented powertrain dimensioning is compared to a conventional approach. Based on a parameter variation, it is shown that use-case-based concept development can lead to efficiency benefits in cycle and customer operation.
