LIDAR Sensor Kalibrierung ohne die Nutzung physischer Objekte

Zusammenfassung

In conformity with upcoming standardizations regarding autonomous driving, ADAS functions and its sensors need to pass homologation and testing stages to increase functional robustness and safety. Currently such testing processes are executed in large facilities to measure the performance of the sensor under test. These tests are cost intensive as well as time and resource consuming. Furthermore, these kinds of tests are difficult to automate.

Currently, the manufacturers of LiDAR systems (Light detection and ranging) carry out tests during development or exemplary sensors are tested directly under real conditions on the test track or in a corresponding test hall on real objects. The objects in such test halls can be adjusted manually or automatically. Testing under real conditions can only be started when sensor technology is at a high technical readiness level or at least installed in an appropriate housing. In addition, only a few sensors can be tested in this way. Experimental and preliminary developments without a housing are virtually impossible...
