Zusammenfassung
The Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2ICE) is an interesting option to eliminate CO2 emissions on a tank to wheel basis. Due to the absence of carbon in the fuel and thanks to both extremely low engine-out NOx and the effectiveness of modern lean NOx aftertreatment systems it is also possible to largely eliminate toxic pollutants from this engine. This allows H2ICE to meet the strong interest from global automotive markets for zero emission vehicles solutions which are economically attractive and can be scaled rapidly.
