Ongoing research and development efforts have driven significant advancements in Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell technology, particularly in the areas of materials, durability, and costeffectiveness. These improvements have positioned PEM fuel cells as a standard technology for mobility applications, notably in the automotive sector. The suitability of PEM fuel cells for this role is attributed to their multifaceted benefits, including high efficiency, rapid startup and response, and impressive power density.
