Summary
Since the historical, first win of AUDI’s V12TDI at the 24 hrs of Le Mans 2006, the hardest endurance race of the world has been won only by Diesel powered cars. AUDI as the pioneer of the direct-injecting Diesel-Engine in road cars has achieved to conquer a strong position for Diesel powertrains in the world of motorsport and to use the specific speed of development in racing. The new V10TDI is again an innovative engine. AUDI shows again its philiosophy of customer orientated motorsport by developing and testing new technologies convincingly on the racetrack, before these were introduced in road cars.
