Summary

Quantum technology is more than quantum computing - quantum sensors, quantum cryptography and -communication are important other market segments. The market for quantum technology already has a market volume of more than USD 300 million, growing in all segments with growth rates between 15% - 30% p.a.

The classical computer technology is partly supplemented, partly surpassed, and partly or even displaced by quantum technology. Quantum technology therefore will change many industries – especially the logistics, automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, and financial industries will be severely affected in the first place.

While the technology is even in early stages, Automotive and mobility companies need to understand it's potential impact: on products, e.g. on currently used and planned cybersecurity mechanisms especially within cars, but also on new business opportunities. A quick "Quantum readiness" check can help to do so.
