Dual Electrification Inside – A Multistage DHT for the Chinese Market

Summary

Due to unclear prospects for the future, especially European OEMs and suppliers are still relying on their base transmission concepts, which are already established in the market. The derived hybrid solutions are typically low-risk P0-, P1-, P2- or P4-architectures with relatively little changes to the involved components and vehicle periphery. On the other hand, there is growing pressure from legislators worldwide to reduce emissions. A greater market penetration of innovative hybrid architectures is required to achieve the goals set.

This article is intended to show how GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH and its subsidiary GETEC Vehicle Technology (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. answer the question of a suitable Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) concept.
