Summary

Our slogan “Vorsprung durch Technik” celebrates its 50th birthday this year. For us at Audi, this is a good time to reflect on how things have changed and to take a look at the future of mobility at the Vienna Motor Symposium. Right now, the automotive industry is in the midst of the probably most significant transformation of its history. Making individual mobility sustainable, connected and even autonomous is our challenge. At Audi, we have set the course for this change. We are systematically moving ahead on the path to sustainable mobility by consistently pursuing our electrification strategy. By 2025, we are planning to offer more than 20 fully electric models. Our key to success is to economically scale electromobility. Audi is leveraging Volkswagen Group-wide synergies, e.g. by making use of cross-brand platforms like the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) to design a wide range of models from the B- up to the D-segment. With the Audi Q4 e-tron lineup, we are scaling the MEB architecture for compact and mid-size models as early as this year. The next step will be to bring together all Volkswagen Group brand e-models on a shared, flexible platform. Audi is the only premium manufacturer able to draw on such extensive synergies. With a strong platform strategy for profitable e-mobility and a consistent software focus, Audi is well prepared for the automotive future and the next 50 years of “Vorsprung durch Technik”.
