Summary
The advanced technical status of Li-Ion batteries has enabled the system to be also employed for a variety of products for automotive applications. The expected success of the electric vehicle in particular, will depend on the availability of advanced Li-Ion batteries. Future development will aim at increasing the specific energy to address the increasing demand at vehicle integration.
