Summary
European manufacturers are currently facing challenges related to their Chinese competitors with regards to the export of BEVs from China to Europe and due to the weak demand of European EVs in China. It seems that Europe has not put enough emphasis on the development of convincing HMI, trustworthy ADAS, nor functional voice-control. Is it time to pay the bill now? What strategies can European manufacturers apply to cope with it?
Xuanyuan Award – the automotive industry award - provides a platform to highlight the actual differences and points out the need for action on either side.
Xuanyuan Award was founded by Truls Thorstensen, EFS Consulting and Jack Yu, Auto Business Review (ABR) in 2013, and is dedicated to create a better automotive world. Each year in November, a set of around 40 vehicles from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, American, and European brands are selected from over 80 different vehicles proposed by the manufacturers and are assessed at NAST Proving Ground (Wuhan, China) by independent experts from various fields, such as ADAS, HMI, User Experience, EV Efficiency and many more.
