Summary
Already today electronics contribute exceedingly to the improvement of car safety and to the reduction of fuel consumption and emissions. Future powertrain innovations – from new combustion processes over exhaust aftertreatment to hybrid drives – will increase the share of electronics in vehicles even more. Already today reliability of electronic systems is very high. Though – due to the increase in functions – new challenges occur: Complexity should be minimized by software platforms and modular hardware - the remaining complexity is to be managed through defined processes in a way that errors are eliminated. Here, the entire vehicle lifecycle – even after series production – has to be considered.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
