Practices and Tools Used at BMW to Develop Automated Driving Systems of SAE Level 3 and Higher
Authors

Summary
Automated driving systems of SAE level 3 and higher are of significantly higher complexity than currently available systems of SAE level 2 and lower. Their development doesn't only require a different type of algorithmic approach, but also a change of practices and tools. This paper presents how BMW adopted their development workflow and tools in order to enable the development of SAE level 3 systems and higher.
