Summary
In recent years, the steady increase of vehicle dynamics control systems in the automotive sector has led to an ever-increasing complexity of software components in vehicles. This leads to the development of replacing individual control systems by central control concepts. Hereby, the challenge lays in the transformation of the central controller reference variable into the respective actuator manipulated variable in such a way, that the central controller request is implemented as accurately as possible.
This paper deals with the influence of longitudinal force distributing systems on the lateral dynamics of a vehicle. For this purpose, a methodology is being developed which allows for precise analyses of the influences of torque distributions on an axle between the wheels and for drive torque distributions between the axles. Special attention is paid to the influence of the lateral tire force loss on an axle, which is often neglected in literature.
