Summary
High torque and dynamic driving behaviour in a broad speed range are important engineering goals for combustion engines. MANN+HUMMEL is striving to achieve this goal by pursuing innovative concepts that intensifie the gas dynamics processes at the charge cycle and allow additional degree of freedom in the valve timing. A substantial increase should be achieved in the range of engine speed between 1000-3000 rpm. This paper shows the development of fast switching flaps and electric driven booster in air intake systems First test results are published.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
