Summary

This paper examines the importance and drivers of net zero value chains in the Auto-motive industry, as well as concrete implications for players that may go as far as a net zero value chains becoming the "license to operate". Moreover, concrete levers to reduce scope 1 to 3 emissions are illustrated, as well as their challenges to implement and forerunners who have already done so. Finally, the paper outlines a possible approach for automotive players on how to operationalize the net zero value chain ambition - as a pathway towards a greener future.
