Summary
After the introduction of the ZF 6-speed automatic transmission family in 2001, a technically revised version of this range of transmissions was launched in 2006. The revamped variants boast significantly improved customer-specific features, such as better fuel efficiency, sportier shifting, and a better power-to-weight ratio. With regard to more stringent fuel efficiency and emission requirements, however, there are limits to this Lepelletierbased system, and its further development does not yield enough benefits. In an extensive synthesis, gear sets were therefore combined to create a new system offering the best conditions for an efficient power flow.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
