Summary

With our Mercedes-Benz strategy, we follow a clear goal: to build the most desirable cars in the world. But what drives us tomorrow? The answer is clear - we are striving towards Electric Only. Our focus lies on expanding our vehicle portfolio, optimizing performance, efficiency and the charging experience for our customers. Last year we showed the world what is possible with our VISION EQXX. The most efficient Mercedes-Benz of all time demonstrated an impressive efficiency of 8.7 or 8.3 kWh/100 km on two long-distance journeys over 1,000 km. We are using the knowledge from this technology program in terms of increasing efficiency for our future model series starting with the upcoming compact MMA platform. The battery is a key component of electric vehicles and defines the characteristics of the vehicle in terms of performance, range and charging time. We own the expertise from cell development to the battery production and work together with strong partners. The electric drive unit (MB.DU) efficiently puts the performance on the road. For our future platforms, we implement this consistently with our in-house developed and produced electric drive system. Of course, we are not leaving out driving pleasure: together with our subsidiary YASA Ltd., we develop and produce ultra-high-performance axial motors. Charging is a central factor for an optimal drive system. We ensure the best possible charging performance for the shortest possible charging times. We also offer attractive models for an ideal and uncomplicated charging experience. In the near future, our own high-power charging network will complement the more than one million charging points already available to our Mercedes me Charge customers worldwide.
