Summary
AVL develops since 2002 SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) based APUs (Auxiliary Power Units). The decision has been made for SOFC due to the high fuel flexibility as also hydrocarbon based fuels can be converted very efficiently into electrical energy. The SOFC is characterized by very high operating temperatures which enables the fuel flexibility by direct oxidation of CO (or water-gas shift to H2). The cell itself is based on ceramic and/or metallic layers and individual cells are interconnected by metallic plates to reach reasonable voltages.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
