Summary

The market development of electrified vehicles is at the beginning of an expected steep growth curve. An increasing number of brands and models get an electrification variant, and more and more purely electric vehicles are entering the market. However, the demand for diverse solutions also poses challenges. Car manufacturers must, in addition, offer cost-effective solutions for various vehicle segments and comply with the applicable CO2 fleet limits. In parallel with the increasing regulatory pressure worldwide, for the first time arises a noticeable demand from car buyers. Using
technical examples, this paper shows how efficiency, modularization, scalability and cost benefits are implemented in series solutions as well as in future technologies. In addition, there is a demand for electrification in various forms and voltage levels, which requires a broad portfolio of products. Vitesco Technologies is one of the pioneers in all these trends. The early adoption of a focused electrification strategy has ensured that the right solutions for all applications are available in time for the beginning of the market growth.
