Summary
Under the corporate vision to provide all customers with cars that combine the “Joy of Driving” with “Outstanding Environmental and Safety Performance”, and with the aim to attain the ultimate thermal efficiency of an internal combustion engine, Mazda introduced the petrol engine SKYACTIV-G with an ultrahigh compression ratio and diesel engine SKYACTIV-D with an ultralow compression ratio. The SKYACTIV-G is a natural aspirated engine with a game-changing ultrahigh compression ratio and satisfies both of brisk driving feel and outstanding fuel economy. By the further innovating of technologies, Mazda has developed a SKYACTIV-G 2.5L boosted engine that defies the common sense of a boosted engine, and details are discussed here.
