Summary

In the following contribution, the hybrid drives will be sorted as follows: Hybrid drives by using classical car transmissions, Hybrid drives by using power split transmissions, Hybrid drives without mechanical transmissions. Within this paper only newest drive configurations will be considered. For example, solutions without torque converter in connection to an automatic transmission or CVT are counted among to new drive configurations. Further, solutions to consist of a combination of electric machines and one – or two planetary gear sets are counted among too. This new kind of drive configurations are considered by means of the torque schematic including the power flow. Also newest developments are considered which contain a special electrical drive structure without any mechanical transmission. At the end of this paper some general designing guides concerning the electrical machines will be given.

Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
