Summary
2019 was marked by a growing worldwide awareness about global warming
air pollution. This has led to a noticeable change in direction, not only at a
level (stricter regulations) but also with the wider population (demand for
environmentally friendly technologies). As far as individual mobility is
the solution lies in the electrification of automotive drive systems. It is the
important technological pioneering development for clean, locally emission-
and highly efficient mobility. One challenge of electrification is that it is
different forms at the same time, as it has to support several strategic goals
automobile manufacturers: They want to comply with the CO2 fleet limits that
apply from 2020, they need cost-effective solutions for different vehicle
and price classes and they want to be able to meet as many customer use
as possible. In addition to battery-powered vehicles, electrification enables low-voltage and high-voltage hybrids, as well as electric vehicles with fuel
as energy converters. In the meantime, the growing market acceptance of
vehicles is evident in rising numbers of registrations. The bottom line is still
the common denominator of future vehicle architectures is the electric drive.
future is electric. For this reason, Vitesco Technologies has fully focused its
on electrified mobility. This presentation shows where Vitesco Technologies
will set its sights in the coming years with a clear focus on electrification. It
includes technological examples of how Vitesco Technologies is continuing
drive electrification forward – and what additional benefits this generates for
market and for drivers.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
