Summary
Due to the necessity to further reduce the CO2 footprint of the mobility sector, next to the investigation of alternative powertrain technologies the development on novel, liquid fuels is in the focus of research. A more intense use of alternative fuels not only allows a reduction of fossil energy consumption, but also the synthesis of fuel featuring excellent properties for use in internal combustion engines when compared to conventional fuels. Additionally the use of a regenerative energy basis enables CO2 neutral mobility. For this reason, researchers of the Cluster of Excellence “Tailor-Made Fuels from Biomass” (TMFB) at RWTH Aachen University are working intensively on the design of highly efficient novel production pathways and processes to transform lignocellulosic biomass into liquid fuels. The close and highly interdisciplinary research with combustion experts even allows a strategic selection of fuel components that enable an extremely efficient and clean combustion.
Lectures from the International Vienna Motor Symposium can be ordered from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK). Lectures can only be purchased in the form of the complete conference documents, individual lectures are not available.
When placing an order, please note the year/name of the event (e.g. "45th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2024") for the further ordering process.
Members of the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers have access to all lectures of the International Vienna Motor Symposia.
