Summary
Hylley is a collaborative and funded research project investigating hydrogen engines for heavy-duty and non-road applications. We aim to make the hydrogen engine durable, practical and competitive. Various topics are addressed, ranging from material deterioration and mixture formation to control functions and the fuel system. This paper presents examples of our research output, focusing on transient operation, ignition, irregular combustion and hydrogen management.
