Summary

Diverse circumstances call for diverse solutions
Accelerating our journey towards a fossil-free future of mobility requires us to move beyond our dependence on singular technologies, scarce resources and sensitive infrastructures. The transition to electrification is progressing in varying pace across diverse geographical regions, economies and societies. Therefore, multiple technologies in parallel are essential to enable sustainable mobility for everyone, everywhere.

Multi-technology approach and life-cycle perspective will speed up the race to Zero
Hybrid technology has consistently advanced in efficiency over several decades, and further advancements can and should continue. We share a common goal: to rapidly transition to sustainable mobility and reduce emissions to Net Zero. To facilitate this transformation, requirements must focus on multiple solutions tailored to specific needs to minimize the carbon footprint.

Hybrid futures
Hybrid technology holds the key to harnessing the existing industry and market ecosystem to achieve carbon neutrality for mobility in a truly global context. With the development of life-cycle carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, it is feasible to achieve carbon-neutral mobility with combustion technology for all potential applications and all regions of the world in the near future.
