Summary

E-mobility seems to be a big issue for the transport of future decades. In fact, in terms of “tank-towheel” efficiency, tail-pipe emissions and even offthe- line acceleration battery powered cars represent a very promising alternative to our beloved – and conceptually 125 years old – combustion engine cars. However, we know that range and recharging constraints apart the GHG reduction of electric cars is low, even negative, when fossil energy is used for power generation.
