Summary

In modern vehicles, the properties are largely determined by software - and its upgrade capabilities. Based on a stakeholder-oriented system design, application software is implemented, and the required infrastructure (electric/electronic (E/E), basis software and mechanical components) is provided. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a frequently discussed method, especially on the requirements and system test level, to enable an interdisciplinary and formalized specification of the system. However, for series development, standardized integrated ways to link this top-down design approach with the bottom-up industrialization level (E/E component and network development, coding and mechanical design) are missing.
